Juliet Balconies

A Juliet balcony sits just outside a window or pair of French doors on the upper storey of a building.

Juliet balconies are a decorative feature that do not need planning permission, although relevant building regulations must be met. 

Also referred to as balconets or balconettes, they’re designed to give the appearance of a full balcony in locations where it may not be possible or suitable to install a larger feature.

  • Suitable for 10mm – 21.52mm glass
  • General building inspection test certificate ABP and BS6180

*Class 2  : Domestic & Residential – multi-occupancy, balconies and edges of roofs Office & Work Areas not susceptible to over crowding
